Finland University, joint entity of four leading Finnish universities, strengthens its commitment to the education sector in Brazil: Mr Jarkko Wickström joins Finland University as representative in Brazil and Latin America starting 1 September 2019.
Jarkko Wickström has studied and worked in Brazil since 2001 and has strong connections to its education sector, e.g. in 2016-18 he was the Coordinator of the Embassy of Finland in Brazil for promoting education and science collaboration between Brazilian and Finnish education institutes.
"Brazil is implementing massive reform programs in both basic and higher education. Finnish experience has been proven very helpful for these programs. Finland University is already running capacity building and education programs with leading university groups in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin Amerca, and we are in dialogue with many others ", says Pekka T.
